How, though, can you go about making sure that you are using hair conditioner at home in the right manner?
Once you know that you have picked up the right kind of conditioner, get the shower on and jump in. Go for a normal hair washing routine and give your scalp a good scrub. Use the shampoo that you want (for more help on shampooing your hair, check out our guide) and be as calm and gentle as you can to avoid breaking up ends or damaging it otherwise.
Try and put as much concentration into your scalp as you can to lift the grime and leave your hair feeling as comfortable and as casual as you possibly can later.
Now, take as much conditioner as your hair is going to need (it varies quite heavily, from a tiny coin-sized amount to a palms’ worth of the stuff) and rub it in. Do it slowly, and only apply it to the ends of your hair. Avoid your scalp with conditioner as it slows down hair growth and makes oil production speed up – both bad.
Now, give the conditioner a moment to set into your hair – about a minute – and keep the water temperature as low as you can. The colder, the better. Rinse it out using the conditioner and make sure that by the time you are finished that your hair no longer feels like it has gel or product in it. Get rid of that excessive and slippery feel, and you are done!
As you can see, using conditioner at home takes a bit of precision and planning. With this guide, though, you should now find it easier than ever to get your hair in tip-top shape once again!
